Does anyone remember that face import patent?

I remember a year or two ago, The Sims/Maxis/EA patented some technology to upload photos of faces for the game to automatically construct into sims. I know that some of the patents had sims 4 stuff in it, but do we think they decided to possibly save it for the sims 5?
