Personally, at least visually and aesthetically, I don´t want an open world and I prefer TS4 world system with neighbourhoods bc there it gives off the vibe that your Sim actually lives in a real town/city. But obviously TS4 fumbled hard so here are ideas how the worlds in my personal dream the Sims game would look like and work: No loading screen when travelling between lots within the same neighbourhood 10-12 neighbourhoods per world at least (on average) 4-6 (let´s say on average middle sized lots) lots per neighbourhood -> 40-72 lots per world from the very beginning seasons and weather in the basegame neighbourhoods shouldn´t be too big. They should be just big enough to surround all lots within that neighbourhood. The pr0blem with modern TS4 worlds is that they´re soooo big but 2/3 of it is empty unplayable space only containing devorative buildings but for some reason the Sims still can walk around there. Therefore IF you ever Sim walking around it looks like a ghost town (unless that´s what you want) decorative townies that walk around in the distance? Rabbithole buildings (like cinema, grocery store, bookstore, flower shop, bakery etc) need to exist, in every neihbourhood at least one 7.2. give us a reason to go out and leave our home. If my Sim wants to buy a book or groceries, don´t let them pay for it out of the air. My Sim needs to actually buy for these things either by visiting the actual shop (the shops could have opening hours) or ordering through the computer or phone apartments and residental rentals in the basegame when creating a new save file similar to TS3 you can first choose only one world (your main world for that save file) but then like in TS2 you can add all the other liveable worlds as sub worlds and you can decide how many you want and which ones you want If you want to hear my ideas regarding travelling and vaccation and university worlds then let me know :) submitted by /u/MoritzMartini [link] [comments]View the full article

Why does Sims 5 make me feel like HGTV royalty during build mode but a clueless intern the moment I hit Live Mode? I design mansions, then forget to feed my Sim and she dies in a corner like a neglected Tamagotchi. Non-Simmers will never understand this pain. Hit upvote if your Sims live in castles but die like peasants. submitted by /u/houformca [link] [comments]View the full article

I have two ideas: The Sims 5: Civil Unrest: an expansion pack where you can protest, riot, express political opinions, etc. There is even a riot police career that comes with it. The Sims 5: Time Travel: kinda like Into The Future expect you can go at any era you want Any other ideas? submitted by /u/Hero-Firefighter-24 [link] [comments]View the full article

You know how we’ve all been waiting for Sims 5 like it's the messiah? Well, get ready! We’ll probably get it, but it’ll be like when you order a fancy pizza and they deliver you a cold, soggy one with half the toppings missing. But hey, at least the box is cool. Can we all agree EA's motto is “Fix bugs with more bugs”? 🙃 submitted by /u/dulcoordnut [link] [comments]View the full article

Can we just talk about the way Sims move? They don't walk, they glide like they're auditioning for a role in a ghost movie. No one asked for "spooky chic" in The Sims 4! At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Project Rene has Sims that moonwalk everywhere, just to avoid the awkward shuffle. Seriously, EA, give us a real walk cycle before we start giving them hoverboards. submitted by /u/clawefex [link] [comments]View the full article

Sims 5 building mode: chef’s kiss. Sims 5 gameplay: like giving a gourmet kitchen to a toddler who only makes imaginary soup. Outsiders be like “just play it differently” - NO, KAREN, I want depth, not dollhouse drama. Smash that upvote if your Sim is still staring at the fridge wondering what fun is. submitted by /u/doodmyti [link] [comments]View the full article

I think Project Rene was an interesting concept that was not executed well. Its development will probably lead to the project’s total cancellation, as the feedback from the community and players has been terrible throughout the playtests. I get that it’s not The Sims Team’s fault, it’s EA’s. They believe that milking The Sims 4 forever and creating a new free-to-play game is the best approach, but instead, it’s the perfect way to kill the franchise’s fanbase. The Sims 4 has become a very enjoyable game and is nowhere near the terrible state it was in when it first released in 2014. However, at this point, trying to improve it and making it last forever feels like a total reach from EA’s side. When Project Rene was first announced, it received very positive feedback from the community. I personally really enjoyed the graphics and the new tools, and honestly expected that we would have seen more of it in the other playtests. The team promised to learn from our feedback, but they are clearly not doing so. I’m not one of those Sims 4 haters that have become an INZOI stan, as i’m not considering switching to INZOI because it feels too dystopian for me, but it’s a solid game. This opens a new door for competition, that will grow over the years, leading to new life simulators to emerge and competing with The Sims franchise as a whole. The Sims Team and EA should really put in the effort to create a proper Sims 5 and start fresh once and for all. And if they don’t want to name it “The Sims 5” then give us “the next generation of The Sims” you’ve been promising all along. They need to deliver what they initially promised with Project Rene (that has definitely changed over the years since its announcement in 2022) because at this point, it’s getting exhausting. submitted by /u/famesweetener [link] [comments]View the full article

Gameplay screens and Video of Project Rene's new Playtest are starting to come out. Players Start by Answering Questions about their Character as they Land in "Plaza de Poupon" They are then able to customize their Sim using presents, Under the Body tab you can chose their shape and one of three different Heights, Tall, Medium or Short. There were no Sliders, Tailoring Workshop or Colour wheels within this specific playtest. The Plaza features a Cafe you can work at, A Thrift Shop you can unlock new clothes at and you are able to Build an outdoor Party Venue with friends. There were no loading screens. Other Sims in the Plaza could be other Players or NPCs. You move your Sim using a virtual joystick and are able to change the Camera Near or Far. You can Raise Skills and Interact with many objects. The Animations and Expressions are much more exaggerated. The Cafe plays Jazz Music from the Sims 1. The Game is using Voices and Sounds from the Sims 4 but I expect this is just Placeholder. There are NO microtransactions or Energy Timers. You earn Simoleons by doing Jobs and Quests then use your Simoleons to unlock new Clothes and Hairs. There are many Options to raise and lower the Graphics so it plays nice on your Mobile. credit for the gameplay goes to ENG_K3 on Youtube! submitted by /u/Artist6995 [link] [comments]View the full article

So I bought the for rent pack… it worked just fine with the exception of not being able to properly take care of maintenance issues. I saw that other people were having issues with the same thing so I figured it was a glitch that was being worked on by EA. My main issue now is that my rental properties don’t show up on my business panel anymore. I still get notices about my tenants and properties throughout gameplay. I can still collect rent, call contractors to go “take care of maintenance issues” but I can’t travel to the properties even though they still show up on my world maps or find new tenants. I do use mods. I had them installed when I bought the pack so I didn’t think that was the issue. I did try to remove all the mods from my game and restart it. I even logged out and back into my EA account to try to force fix the bug but that still didn’t work. Any advice??? submitted by /u/Lil_anxiety_2 [link] [comments]View the full article

Ah yes, the "Sims 5" we’ve all dreamed of… except it’s a hot mess of broken promises, new bugs, and the same cash-grab DLCs. Who needs stability when you can have an infinite loop of “object not found”? Here's to hoping “Project Rene” comes with a bug-free "make me a competent game dev" cheat. 🤞🎮 submitted by /u/trowtamost [link] [comments]View the full article

We all know the real game in Sims 5 will be trying to build a house without the walls randomly vanishing or the floor deciding to become a trampoline. EA should just release a new pack called "Sims: Construction Chaos" because that’s basically what we get every time we try to furnish a room. Anyone else just want a house that stays a house? submitted by /u/ulfisyn [link] [comments]View the full article

Sure, when TS5 is anounced the people born when TS4 came out might already be married with kids lmao, but i still think TS5 will happen, even if it's a loooong time from now. A lot of people seem convinced TS4 will be the last mainline sims game ever, but i dunno, i personally disagree with that. Anyways, we'll be playing TS4 for a long time, let's enjoy it while it lasts, we've never had a sims game suported this long. submitted by /u/Post1110 [link] [comments]View the full article

Hello everyone. From what I've seen, no one is talking about Project Rene anymore. However, I managed to publish a video that shows the entire soundtrack of the game. Please note that this soundtrack was taken from a leaked build of the Android version. However, some tracks or the entire soundtrack may not be available in the final version of the game when it is released. Sims 5 better come with a “mod folder” button built-in, or I’m going to need a full-time IT department just to manage the chaos of 72 mods, 48 custom hairstyles, and 12 unofficial kitchen cabinets that all break every time the game updates. EA, don’t let us down, give us back our unholy modded creations, or we riot! submitted by /u/sporofdmor [link] [comments]View the full article

Remember when we dreamed of an open world, better AI, and actual realism? Yeah, EA heard us loud and clear… and added even fancier couch textures instead. 🤡 Sims 5 is just gonna be Sims 4 with 600 microtransactions and a "breathing" DLC. At this point, I’d rather pay my real landlord than my Sim’s rent. Who’s ready for disappointment? 🙃 submitted by /u/ringdewitch [link] [comments]View the full article
